Haiku NewZ August
August 2022: The results of the NZPS Haiku Contest, both adult and junior, are out, and the winner of the senior section is … Scott Mason of the US! Visit Haiku Happenings to find a link to all the winning poems and the judge’s comments.
I lost a couple of weeks last month, thanks to contracting Covid-19, but you don’t want to hear about that. Instead, while you’re at Haiku Happenings read all about a new haiku journal for young writers, being edited by Zoe Grant and her mum Sherry. Great to see young haiku-ists coming up with ideas and going for it. Well done, Zoe.
This month’s article is about being ‘present’ when we attempt to write haiku, authored by psychologist, haiku poet and anthology editor Robert Epstein. Contest listings have been updated to the end of October and don’t forget to check the Publications page as another source of outlets for your work.
