Competitions and applications closing in September 2020

- The Heritage Literary Awards 2020 close September 11. The poetry award is judged by Teoti Jardine and has a first prize of $200. Entries must somehow relate to the theme of the Christchurch Heritage Festival 2020, which was “Encounter our stories – Arts, Culture and Identity”.
- Applications for the 2021 Michael King Writers Centre Residencies close September 21, for both emerging and established writers.
- Applications for the 2021 International Institute of Modern LettersWriter in Residence close September 30.
- The Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest closes September 30.
