First, there is a group reading on Zoom featuring The Write Blend. Based out of the US, Words Out Loud is an ongoing reading series held on the first Friday of the month. Follow the link in the flyer at 11.30am, Saturday June 6th NZT to attend. The session also includes a literary trivia quiz and open mic. The hosts are hoping for some Kiwi attendees!
At 3pm Sunday June 7th NZT, Wairarapa Word is hosting a special event in honour of World Environment Day at the Carterton Community Courthouse, 60 Holloway St, Carterton. Spirit of the Environment, moderated by Gareth Winter, will host poets, activists, and artists, including Michael Woodcock, Raihānia Tipoki, Kerri McGill, and Pat White. The event may be online, check out their Facebook page. Level 2 restrictions apply to the physical gathering.
Poetry at Your Place is hosting another live, online poetry slam this Sunday, June 7th, at 7.30pm NZT. Find details on how to attend here.
And finally, the New Zealand Poetry Society’s Annual General Meeting will be held at 2pm June 6th NZT, online via Zoom.
