For those in Christchurch or its surrounds, come along to Scorpio Books, 120 Hereford Street, this Thursday, 12 March, at 5.30pm.

Former diplomat and self-confessed cricket tragic Nick Bridge (The Boat that Brought Me, The Cuba Press), poet and China scholar Diana Bridge (Two or More Islands, OUP) and poet, novelist and teacher James Norcliffe (Deadpan, OUP) have new books to talk about. All three have lived stimulating lives in New Zealand and China and elsewhere, and incorporate Kiwi prime ministers, Greek heroes and Shakespeare’s Yorick into their tall tales and true. Come along for a vigorous evening of discussion and readings chaired by Lyttelton poet Annabel Wilson
