Haiku NewZ February

February 2020: We’ve been experiencing days and days of dry heat here in Tauranga (and in Taranaki and Auckland where we’ve been recently for long weekends) and then, just as the beekeeper put two buckets of honey on my kitchen bench, it started to rain. Blessings from all around!

Haiku NewZ has had a proper update for this month with the Contest listing now up to April 1 and a new monthly article, this one by J Zimmerman about the nuts and bolts practicality of writing haibun.

See Haiku Happenings for opportunities to share photos, postcards and haiku. If it’s February it must be National Haiku Writing Month (NaHaiWriMo) – there’s a link on the page to join the fun. And there’s also news of two new journals – one for short-form poems of all sorts and one for haibun.

Enjoy your Haiku NewZ visit, and please feel free to get in touch with me if you have ideas or find broken links. If you’re looking for the full range of what’s posted in Haiku NewZ, hover your mouse over ‘Affiliates’ in the top menu and then over ‘Haiku NewZ’ to see all the pages (and most of these have sub-pages).
