Haiku NewZ September

September 2019:  Spring, apparently. We spent the weekend in Rotorua – visiting Wingspan National Bird of Prey Centre, Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the Redwood Forest and, after all that walking, having a lovely hot soak (42 degrees Celsius).

Your editor has a particularly busy couple of months coming up but will endeavour to stay on top Haiku NewZ.

Don’t miss the chance to join the haiku and tanka fun at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery –submit work in the next few days (before September 5. See Haiku Happenings for  details. That’s where you’ll also see that the Australian Haiku Society has extended its call for commentaries on New Zealand haiku (to September 20).

This month’s article is all about senryu (in general) and women’s voices (in particular). The Contest listing has been updated to the middle of December (eek, not another year, not already!). Please remember that the list is refreshed as information comes to hand so it’s always worth checking back during the month.
