Haiku NewZ November

November 2018: As I write we’re experiencing a cold, wet snap with plenty of thunder rolling round the sky! But it’s still spring so I suppose we must expect the unexpected. New Zealand’s garden festival season is in full swing this month so nature knows what it’s doing even if the weather isn’t always sure.

Pop on over to Haiku Happenings to read the latest news from the world of haiku; catch up with the Contest listing, now updated to the end of January 2019 (and remember that it is refreshed as information comes to hand so it’s always worth checking back); and make a cuppa and have a read of this month’s article by American long-form poet and journalist Thomas Sleigh – a discussion of Basho as a poet-journalist, particularly with reference to his haibun. Read it here.

Feel free to get in touch at any time if you have ideas, questions or information.
