Happy new year! 2018 is just three days old, but we’re already making plans for the months ahead… not least of which includes the publication of our next chapbook, Fears For The Near Future by CS Mierscheid at the end of January!
We’ll also be re-opening submissions to Neon Literary Magazine at the end of the week. This year we’ll be publishing our first themed issue, for which we’re still seeking prose, poetry, comics and photo-illustrations on the theme of “The Apocalypse“. Take a look at our Apocalypse Primer if you need a little inspiration.
We’ve also updated our various resources. The big list of UK literary magazinesnow has over 100 entries, and our list of UK writing competitions has been pruned to only feature contests where the prize justifies the entry fee. If one of your resolutions is to get something published this year, take a look and see if we can help!
Finally, we’d just like to say a quick thank you to everyone who has downloaded, purchased, read and subscribed to the magazine over the past year. We’re consistently amazed and humbled by how much support and enthusiasm there is for the kind of work that Neon features, and grateful to be able to run a magazine that relies on the energy of its readership rather than ads or sponsorship. So thank you, and all the best for 2018! |
